Unplanned downtime in the chemical industry is a serious dependability issue with serious repercussions. Unplanned downtime at a chemical plant can disrupt production and have major financial effects. Furthermore, unanticipated downtime might result in regulatory noncompliance and possibly plant shutdown.
Chemical industries are one of the most significant industries for other sectors because industries ranging from pharmaceutical to automotive rely on them, hence the chemical industry must be more productive by preserving the quality of their chemical products. Chemical plant managers must ensure that quality chemicals are produced, and the chemical plant must be properly maintained to do this.
Predictive maintenance and analytics perform a major role in the chemical industry in improving quality and reducing downtime of equipment. There are several chemicals are made in a controlled environment. For the chemical industry, we designed an environmental sensor node that can measure gas emissions, humidity, and temperature. Apart from that S-Node can measure pressure, triaxial vibration, 6D motion, RPM, proximity, and acoustic. S-Node offers the ability to monitor the condition of the environment before they become hazardous for employees.
Also, other sensor nodes measure the downtime and improve the productivity of the equipment.
The data collected by S-Nodes can be used to identify potential issues with the equipment before they cause a failure, allowing for proactive maintenance to be performed. This can help to reduce downtime, extend the life of the equipment, and improve overall efficiency.
